im ridin around open header for the time being until my carsound cat comes in.... (its a jdm dc 4-1) and iono wuts the deal but smoke comes up from the shift boot into the inside by my leg.... not just a little smoke...but alloot of smoke. i dunno if its anythin burning or is it just the exhaust creepin in from outside....some of my friends ride open header, but ive never seen this happen before. thanks.

 

yeah, it's the exhaust from the open header pushing through to the interior. get a cat bro, not healthy to breathe those fumes

 

hehehe....yea, my cat was SUPPOSED to come in today but ups sucks!!! ihate ups! while i was out getting the 2.5" gasket from honda, the ups guy came and left a note at my door and im not gonna get my cat until monday....and i've got lots of places to go this weekend.... anyways, nothing can really burn or melt underneath my car due to the hot exhaust can it? thanks man.

You still have the full catback exhaust on your car don't you?......I swear......your parents should be slapped for breeding outside of the species.......

Well, I am not a newbie by any standard so I will flame. That is just stupid, running open header on the street is not only highly illegal, its also highly annoying. You could kill yourself from the fumes.


On the other hand, its only temporary, so I dont really care.

Just dont do it alot.

 

in harris county in houston, tx, there is emissions, but i live right outside in a different county so we dont have emissions or visual inspections of exhaust components for 1998 - up cars. i plan on putting a cat on whenever it comes in.
