I did this a few years ago, and yes it is better if you basically strip down the B20 to the block and head and use everything from the Ls, like the intake manifold, dizzy, harness, etc. You can also use the ls (P75) ecu although I think it may burn a little lean...I believe however that minus the high intake manifold that some B20s have you can just use whats on the B20 unless of course you get a JDM one in which case would have the RHD harness on it which WILL NOT WORK. Good luck with whichever route you choose!

No changing the whole firewall harness. IMO doing the other things takes a little time, but the finished product is much better. What engine is it? Good luck!

um yeah I think a stock Ls(B18b1) puts out about 142 hp.....and the B20b puts out about 126 hp......and the b20z puts out about 146 hp.......so unless you have a b20z there's no point in a swap unless you have to.......

B18b=JDM
B18b1= USDM

not 100% sure on any of this......just tryna help....

I think the jdm 99-00 b20b is high compression. Pre 99 b20b is the 126hp one

I did a JDM high comp b20 in my 95 LS, nice little upgrade, from my research the B20bs with knock sensor are high comp

I swapped the manifold and all the accessories over, plug and play, I also used the LS crank pulley, its smaller and the mount that bolts to the block on the drivers side, they were different
