Maybe I can't see very good in the day, but I couldn't find the timing marks this morning when checking my OBD2 F22b1 CL 2.2. Am I supposed to go off another set of lines on the pully? I see that the timing belt cover timing marks extend longer out and over where I usually check for timing on other cars. I also see this thick white line on the small pully of the crank pully that looks like its indicating stock timing.
I almost want to say that the thick white line is 180 out. Do you have an adjustable timing light, if not then time off of the opposite spark plug wire 180 out from number 1.

I was idling and checked the timing light against that white line, it was pretty close with it if I remember correctly and I did advance the timing with my adjustable cam. I'll bring it back to normal timing and check again and then check the way you are describing.
The WHITE mark is TDC; there should be 3 other notches approx. 15 degrees past the white mark.
The center notch, if you bother to clean it out, will have red paint in it.
Thats the mark you want for setting the timing with your light.

The other white mark I'm talking about is on the smaller pully on the crankpully and it is on the surface of where the belt lies, not the edge. Could just be dirt too. I'm going to check when I have time.
