Default Kinda New Here

Hey everyone, I'm rather new to H-T. I lurked on here a long time ago when I was swapping a B18C into my 97 EX Coupe. Since the threads I read were such a good help, I figured I'd hop on here and possibly help out with my several years of experience with this car.

I don't have many pics of it right now, as is. I'll dig some up and make sure I post them up.

Car info:
97 EX Coupe
B18C1 (which replaced the B18C I installed and hydrolocked)
Stock suspension
5zigen 16x7's
Yokahama Parada Spec II's
190k miles on the chassis

Engine:
DC Sports one piece header
Exhaust is currently off and going to be replaced
AEM V2 intake from D16Y8, modified to fit B18C

Snowing, sitting next to my Protege5

First swapped engine. Ignore the headlights. They've been that way since 99.

Result of the hydolock

Current condition (thanks to Ohio winters)

This winter is going to be spent refreshing the car. The B18C1 that was installed was a junk yard motor (insurance company paid for it after the hydrolock) and I know nothing about it. It needs some help. My goals this winter are a complete coilover setup and get it ready for the 2009 Auto-X season.

Thanks for the welcomes!

I'm hoping to have the car back up to speed soon. I bought the Protege two years ago when the alternator crapped out on the Civic. It was too damn cold to change it, so I bought the other car. That was pretty much just an excuse so that I could take my time and really work on the Civic, as it was my DD for 5 years. Unfortunately, I did more work to the Protege and just drove the Civic as is. Now, it's time to give it a nice refresh.

Hahaha. My Protege has winter duties yet again. Blizzaks make it a tank. Unfortunately, the springs I have on it make it a bit rough. The springs I have are the Mazdaspeed B-spec springs that were only made in 99, only sold in Japan, and is one of 7 sets known to be in North America. They are the stiffest aftermarket springs ever made for the car. Granted, I know the Civic will be stiffer in time, it also won't be pulling another winter again.

10 miles East of Akron.

Unfortunately my Honda is still in the driveway. My BMW is still in the garage. Gotta move that damn thing outta here.

Hey Satimko have you thought about JetHot for your header? I had my DNP done by them and it looks great, keeps the radient heat down like 30%, and don't change or fade colors. Rusty brackets eeeeek!
