itr w/ spec b's vs. gsr w/ jdm & ctr internals - dyno plots (dialups need not apply)
This is more of an informative post than anything..... I thought it'd be fun to finally post it up and get some perspectives/ feedback here.
Here's the setups, tuned to the best or our abilities at the time:
run 20 and 21 are my '00 itr (stock compression) with toda b's and ats final drive tuned open header.
run 13 is local buddy with gsr swapped ek, jdm itr pistons and ctr cams. vafc tuning only, and he has jdm 4-1 header, apex ws exhaust... gsr tranny...
Here are the SAE corrected plots:

Here are the STD plots:

Here are the acceleration comparo's:

.....sorry guys, you don't start at 0mph on the dyno. You do a rolling punch ~3k rpms... So that is like 32mph-58mph in 5 seconds - IN 4th GEAR (out of vtec)...

Look at the column on the left - that's speed. The bottom is TIME from when the run began, not from 0mph.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that all these runs were done in 4th gear for both cars... I did do some 3rd gear pulls, but they were like ~2whp less... weird, but the corrections on the dynojet account for gearing - except for the mph tests...

Hmmmm .... compression (hehe i.e., boost?) RULES! eh?
Stick those cams in the GSR with those internals and let us see the results.

It must be fun to play around on dynos all the time. Have you ever run your car at the drag strip? what kinda times do you pull?
also, could someone explain the difference between SAE and STD horsepower numbers?
goot chit

wow, honda knows what there doing!!! oem ruless!!! not saying the toda motor is not impressive, just that for having open header, and agressive cams the toda motor did not have too much on the oem motor!! im sure with higer compression on toda motor the graph would look very differnt!! thanks for post, eric
well that doesnt make me feel so bad about my gsr --- maybe i wont sell my R cams for skunk2...
R cams are my favorite too!
Stock Type R head
Endyn rollerwaves 12.5:1
Stock Type R cams
JDM 4-1 header
Skunk2 p28 ecu
Blitz exhaust with testpipe
Short intake pipe with big filter
cam gear, timing, and fuel pressure was the only tuning done. No vafcs or anything..
