b16a swap probllems????

Default b16a swap probllems????

So i just trade my 4dr automatic ek for a eg civic ex with a b16a swap
well one of the problems wit my car is that
when i turn on the car it shakes alot and
then it slowly idles down by itself from 1 to 0 and then the car turns off
but its weird because i i need to do is warm up up the car so it wont do that anymore
im guessing it just needs a tune up
but i dont know help me please

sounds like he is saying the idle goes down and the car shuts off because it goes so low.

luckly i know pig latin.... lol ... check your timming loosin the dizzy and move it till it runs right... lol or actually get the motor in time.. but u can use the dizzy, by moving it ifit runs better ul know its timming. could be fuel related.. if the car sits and fuel evaps.. and its hard to start and not getting right a>f then it will cause that ..lol... hope this helps. if not buy a timming light or go to a garage

This always gets me, why do a lot of people just buy/trade into problems. Instead of buying a car that is already swapped or even hacked up and then try to troubleshoot it after the transaction is done. You could be chasing yourself around for a long time just figuring out how or why the previous owner did what they did. Your almost better off just have done a swap yourself. But that's just me.

To the OP, you also say that the car shakes a lot, what are the condition of the mounts or if you could be even missing one or what brand are they? They could just be a much stiffer aftermarket mount that your not used to in comparison to stock mounts.

another with the shaking. the firing order could be backwards with 2 plugs. i did that once an the motor/car shook quite a bit. id check the firing order on the plugs and dizzy. as for low idle do what the other guys are saying

Since the car no longer does it once it is warm, try cleaning your FITV and see if that resolves the issue.
