No start
My sisters' '93 EXR has that Honda problem where the car won't start (sorry, I'm a Jeep guy). When I was towing, I remember going to quite a few of these calls. It's almost like the engine is flooded. I'm not sure when she parked it last, how long it was sitting for, or how long she drove it before she parked it. It does eventually start, but requires a few minutes to get all the raw fuel out of the system. Any thoughts? Thanx.
several things could cause this, however I suggest you should first check the Fuel Pressure Regulator.
Take the vacum line off the fpr and see if there is raw gas in it.
Spark plugs?
Turn on the key, Wait for the CEL to turn off, then crank the engine.
Low fuel pressure at the injectors can cause flooded condition.
If the engine does not start in 15 seconds, stop.
Then hold the gas pedal to the floor, and crank the engine.
This will shut off the injectors and allow maximum air thru the cylinders to clear flooded condition

In both cases, you may have one or more Injectors which have started leaking down (bleeding off residual pressure) when the car shuts off. This would act simular to a carburator with a leaking needle/seat assembly.
Hard restart after just shutting off (starts up a little later after sitting for a while)
Prolonged crank in AM (maybe) with a final labored startup, with cylinders finally clearing out as more come on line.
Try running several cans of Injector cleaner thru the tank b4 you start throwing money at it.

when the car does not start, does it crank over good?
tell ur sister to keep the foot out of the gas when she starts the car. if the car is flooded, turn it on, press the accellerator to the floor and release and then start the car.

I do am having a cranking problem. It will not turn over period. When you try to crank up, you can here the fuel pump as normal, you here the audible relay under the hood, but no crank. Have had the starter tested, it is good. Battery tested it is good. All wires have been traced from battery to starter to the under the hood fuses box. Everythnig is good. Replaced ignition switch. New TPS for a different problem, it would crank, idle to 1500 rpm and choke out in like 3 seconds. New fuel pump relay and wire replced from relay to computer. I am stuck, can anyone assist??
