I have a dillemma. My 92 cx recently blew a piston ring. This really should not bother me since I was planning on doing a swap this summer anyway, but here's the pinch. I go to school in Alabama, but live in New York, so I've been in New York all summer working and the car's been sitting in Alabama. I've found a guy here in NY that can do the B16 swap for $2700 engine and labor included. The closest shops that can do it down there are averaging $4000 to $4200 for the engine and labor. I've barely got $4000, but need a car in AL and do not want to go back to my single overhead misery

I can't half *** fix it it will cost like 1400. it moves but it starts overheating because of the back pressure, they would have to take off the head to replace the ring and that cost dough. The mover idea is a thought though.
