Default should i grease the driveshaft splined ends?

i am instaling new driveshafts on a 95 accord (no intermediate shaft). it seems to me that grease would at least ease the installation and prevent corrosion. do the splined ends get greased? ... both inner and outer ends?

Inner no, as the tranny/diffy fluid will be in there anyway. I usually spread some multipurpose grease on the outer joint splines.

And actually I forgot to do that when I installed a passenger side axle last weekend DOH!!
