Default Swap Engine - 93 DX vs 95 EX

My 93 Civic DX recently overheated and I have another spare engine and the tranmission. The one that overheated was the D15B7 and the one I got for spare is the D16Z6 the also has the tranmission. I'm almost done with removing the old engine. When I got the old axel out from the D15B7 and trying to fit on the D16Z6 since it's still out of the car. It looks like it doesn't fit. Can anyone tell me if the Axel from the D15B7 will fit on the D16Z6. I want to use both the engine & the tranmission from the 95 CIVIC EX to put on my 93 CIVIC DX. Please advice.

Both axles are the same, although the EX axle may have an ABS ring, either way it'll fit.

Thanks for the info. I tried to push it all the way in but it doesn't look like it's going to flush into it ? There isn't any nuts and bolts right ? Just slide it in, right ? Is there a right way and a wrong way to put it in ?

The only way it won't fit into the other trans is if its not a Z6 trans, but a dohc ZC trans which also has a half-shaft (very obvious). There may be some weird brand that got used for one of them, but they fit the same size hub (length and diameter) and differential.

Post some pictures if you are that unsure.

It just slides in, once you get the splines lined up in the transmission, push the axle in hard and it should seat.
