what is the best way to fill my transaxle??? is there a different way than the level check plug?

 

there is what appears to be a breather tube on top of the transaxle....could you possibly put the fluid in there? or does anyone know what that is?

 

Why would you need a different way?

$5 Pep Boys "fluid pump" with hose and 5 minutes of pumping = full transaxle

 

there's a gear connected to the speedo on the top of the tranny - that'll be your best bet -- you'll need a long hose/funnel to fill it from the engine bay

it's held on with a couple 10mm bolts and goes right into the transaxle

the idea for the pump and the filler bolt is the best idea to get the proper amount of fluid though

 

ok thanks! anyone know what the little steel tube coming off the top of the transmission is?
