hey whats good dudes. i'm doing some work to my car. 1st off i'm swapin' a ex motor into my lx and then turboing it. i'm almost done,but now i'm running into some issues. my boost is not boostin correctly. for some reason when i boost to like 6 psi the car lags. i think its my vtec not reacting correctly, because when i swap the motor the ex computer i had didn't work due to the newer year. 2001 ex motor in 2004 lx car. i guess i have to reprogram the computer to the key? does anyone know a good place to do that? or a way around it? i'm almost done and this problem is slowing me down big time.please help.

an lx ecu will not engage "vtec" on an ex engine. you can get it reflasshed at a honda dealership only

 

yea, you need to either get a reflash, hondata, or you could even buy a vtec controller and use that to engauge vtec in your car... But the best thing I think for you would be is Kpro, because hands down, its the best that we have for 7th gen civics...
