haha and you are just now worrying about this after 1500 miles??

How long did you wait for the oil to drain down to the pan before you checked the dipstick? Was the car on a flat surface? I know these are obvious questions but you would be surprised...

Or I know this sounds dumb.... but brand new synthetic oil can sometimes be hard to see on a dipstick... did you just not see it right? over filling can cause problems to the oil pump. My sister over filled her car once starts smoking oil on the tailpipe. Looked hilarious.

maybe the dipstick hit something as you were pulling it out. did you measure it a few times? what you can also do is to start your car for a minute. turn it off for 15 minutes and then measure it again.

are you absolutely sure the ground was perfectly flat in every single direction?

if you have no leaks and you are sure you put in 6 quarts of oil, then that means that there are 6 quarts of oil in your crankcase. this is why it leads me to believe it was user error.
