Default Non-Detergent Oil question

im going to be breaking in my brand new motor this weekend. the question is do i use non-detergent oil just for an idle break in? or can i actually drive on non-detergent oil? and do i use sa30 or sa40 for a gsr? all help is appreciated

i used sa30 for an idle break in on my b20 vtec.I think you could drive on it, but an idle break in worked just fine on my motor.I just let it idle for 15 minutes then i drained it and threw in some conventional oil for the 1500 mile break in period
