Default how will not having an evaporator effect my heat

so i just got done gutting my dash and am about to replace my heater core. my question is will taking the evaporator box out effect anything. i noticed the evaporator is connecting the blower to the heater. if i take the evaporator out with that gigantic hole on the side of the blower where the heater once was blow heat out of it? will it effect the other vents in the car?

Ummm, gigantic hole between blower and heater? Yes, I'd guess it would affect the heat distribution through the ducts that are now effectively disconnected.

The evaporator is the heat exchanger inside the box, not the box itself. The box does 2 things, direct the blower to the vents, and catch the condensation that comes off the evaporator.

So yeah, do like the others said and gut the box, then reinstall just the plastic box.

That is called a heater duct and was used on non A/C cars. You can get one from the dealer for like $45-$50 dollars. Or you can try and search at junkyards for one. I just sold mine just recently.
