Default Cant Check Codes

So my check engine light is on but when jump the wires to check the code it dosent flash it just stays on any help Thanks

either your not jumping the right connector or the ecu is dunzoed!!!

i know im jumping the right one because ive done it on my oher cars and i changed the ecu to a different and still nothing

try a different paperclip or wire, i somehow had a paper clip that was metal but didnt conduct the current. when i switched to another one it worked. just a thought...

i used a paper clip then a wire and nothing

There is a white and blue wire coming out of the ecu to the gauge cluster, that is to send the code to the cluster from the ecu, make sure it is not cut anywhere at the ecu side or at the cluster, make sure the pin is in ok. A13 on the ecu side i think???

Also search the forums if you havent already, someone might have other things you can check in an old thread. Make a list then by tomorrow when u go to work of things to check.

Somebody on some honda board told me to try this, and I can't remeber where, BUT, it worked.
Check the code with engine running. Short wire and start engine and light counts off. Believe it or not, it worked, and now after that, my codes show normally withour starting engine.
I was sceptical, but it worked.

mine is doing the same thing and i tried this and...it didn't work, just stayed lit up. Maybe because i'm OBD2, what is your car OP?

checked the wire A13 and its hooked up not cut anywhere could it be the ecu
