Default Painting Gutted Car

How would I paint a gutted car? I would like to DIY it instead of bring it to the shop. Is it the normal steps as anything else? Sand, primer, and paint with some wetsanding in between? Would spray or rolling it be easier? I'm leaning towards rolling the paint, but what's your input HT?

use cans at least. or buy a cheap gun and spray some single stage. wash it with soap and water, wax/grease remover, 40 grit, 80 grit, 120 grit, prime, prime, 320 grit, base, base, base. 320 grit, clear.

yes do not listen to that guy! you can either wetsand it with 600grit and rubber sponge pad or scrotchbrite. then put your base and clear on it.

just scuff it up with a scotch brite pretty good, clean it with some wax/grease remover well, and shoot some paint on it. The paint you use depends on how much time you want to put in it and how good you want it to look.

Treat the interior as you would the exterior. I 2k'd the entire inside of my EG then sanded with 400 then cam and hit it with a grey scuff pad. Sealed, based and then cleared it. Looks as good as the exterior.

2K primer:

Base:
