i know what a sleeper is.
and how do they see your stock looking Z6 if your driving? do you have a mad tyte JDM clear hood?
Do the whole suspension setup first: sway bar, strut tower bars, get some lighter wheels and good rubber, and lastly do the engine. I personally regret putting money into my engine first only to realize i wanted something different. Take a year or so to make the car more reliable, fixing minor problems it may have while building your suspension and you will probably make a better choice when deciding where you want to go with engine mods.
I second the idea of beginning with your suspension and brakes. Start from the ground-up. Get a 5 lug and rims and rubber to match them first (16 inches are as large as you'd want to go). A 5 lug setup will give you bigger brakes, too. Next, do your suspension pieces like swaybars, rear/front upper and lower tie and strut bars, springs and shocks (or coilovers), poly bushings, front upper control arms, rear camber kit, rear lower control arms, rear subframe brace, etc. If you really want to get a sweet setup, get as many bushings as you can with spherical bearings instead of poly.
After you do that, focus on going fast. You can go as fast as you want but if your suspension, brakes, and rims aren't up to par, you'll only succeed in driving fast into a wall.
Also,
You could say, "Yeah, I have a DC header" or "My header is in good condition". The header is a one-piece unit. You would only say headers in a situation where you meant multiple units.
This article is a good example of using the term headers (more than one header) and header (only one) correctly.

I totally agree alarm first. make sure the car looks clean to like paint, wheels & tires, coilovers & struts combo (skunk2 pro series $650) then for a simple easy swap b16, or a b18 for a little for power. I personally have an h22 in my hatch and love it!!
for the money you need to really get a z6 fast just go get a b18c1 you can find them cheap here in HONDA MARKETPLACE or craigs list the swap isnt to hard but befor looking for speed do re-search and just work on making your car mint some fogs, side markers,
good book to buy is Honda Engaine Swaps by Aaron Bonk they sell it at auto zone

hytech headers are the best i heard (i will be getting these soon for my B18)
and exhaust, cams, i would think about replacing the timing belt too if you just got it, unless it looks good. rims, tires, sway bar, you have alot of options
