Default exhaust, shifter.

Sorry for the title, but I just have 2 questions.
Hoping that you guys can give me bits of tips of how I can approach
to the problem that I am having with my car.

Bought this car about 2 weeks ago..
When I was checking the car out, I saw the exhaust / muffler
part was touching the rear bumper, so I asked for better deal.. since I know
I was gonna have to get this problem fixed.

Here's the problem with exhaust.
As you see in the pictures, its touching the rear bumper.

And also kinda crooked, seeing how it aims towards left top...

Here's the close up

I think the prev owner was pretty dumb, must have just left it like this
for a while in order for the bumper to melt on it that much..
anyhow.. I proceeded to check the hanger's condition, so I crawled
under and took this picture.

And also this picture to show u the piping..

Anything seem to be wrong? I asked few guys around.. and they
gave me advice to take it to muffler shop like Bucks' and ask them
to reweld the muffler section so it sits straight or away from touching
the bumper part... is that seem to be right solution to this?
or is there any other way as well?

second question is regarding about shifter.
Its not really a problem but something that's not my liking.

So here's the current look of shifter.

After searching for about 5 mins on Honda-tech,
I found some people don't mind letting it stay like this, and some
people actually like the look of this..

My question is, in order to make it stay up to the shift **** point,
what should I use? It doesn't just stay up there, its loose.
I was thinking about using crazy glue with care...
would that be a bad way?

Regarding the muffler: Yes a mufler shop should be able to fix that up for you with minimal cost... It will look better once sraight but more important you won;t be ruining your bumper as much.

Regarding the shifter. I have the same one (skunk 2) in my EM1. The boot on mine hangs down like in your 1st picture and it doesn;t bother me one bit. If you would prefer to have it flush to the top like stock, crazy is not a good idea because it would be permanent. I would suggest removing the plastic center console and simply go in from underneath, just put something simple inside to keep it up. Just in case you ever need to remove the boot in the future without having to ruin it.

at what condition, will I regret about using crazy glue to flush the
shift boot? I just want to know what I'm getting myself into. ;(

Also, minimal cost of fixing the exhaust matter, how much is minimal
are we talking about? I just don't want to get awkward price @ the
place and have no idea about it? Is it just basically re-welding job?

I know you and I live in different places ( Canada and U.S ), but if you
can give me an estimated price, that'd be great.

Also, another problem that I have is..
My passenger side window tries to roll up, however it gets stuck.
Does that mean my regulator is okay, but the window is just off the track?
I think its becasue of the previous theft attempt when prev-owner had it.

As far as the shifter, on the one i purchased it came with a nut.(Well the skunk2 **** came with it, i bought both skunk2 **** and shifter) so when i installed it i put the nut on the bottom of the shiter so that the shifter boot would be between the nut and shifter ****. The nut would hold it at the top. Kind of like this

Shift ****
Shift boot
NUT

Im sure you could fab up some bs setup to keep your boot up with washers and a nut that or even a nut you just need one that will match the threads on the linkage.

After a search on Honda-Tech, I did come through this one DIY
of the window, however its for those windows that are off from track.
The thing is, I don't know whether my window is off track, or my
regulator is broken, or its both.

The symptom is, though, Window will roll up and down, or I mean
it will, however it gets stuck in the midway and window won't
go up or down from that point, unless I try to pull it up / down.

I use twisty ties on my shifter boot.

As far as the exhaust: if it's a simple cut/reweld kinda thing... the muffler guy by me charges about $20 for that sort of thing.

On the window: I'd try cleaning the tracks and relubing them with some silicon spray before you start tearing into it.

I found this DIY on HT after a search

Planning to do this over the weekend when I have some time.

I hate when stupid kids ghetto fab stuff like this. Sorry your bumper is all torn up because of someones stupidity. But yeah just take it to a muffler shop. Oh and I might get a different muffler while your at it, I'm sure that one sounds terrible...

I might as well do that. This one doesn't sound too bad, I mean..
its not SUPER loud, however I do admit that its loud to just
drive around. I get really crazy especially on highway....
Cruising on interstate with 3500 RPM is just... too much.

I was looking @ twin loop.. or maybe OEM Si.
which one to go for..

Go with Apexi WS2. I am not a fan of the twin loop sound. IMO all of those canister style mufflers sound awful. The Apexi is very quiet at idle and gets a good grunt when you get on it. It never drones, its never too loud and it sounds great.

Apexi WS2 has the best sound IMO. It's stock quiet at idle but sounds.... just great at RPM. Not too loud though.

Looks pretty good too:

Judging by those tires, the car will likely need at least an alignment. Keep that in mind as well.

Exhaust: get a WS2 like others said, it's amazing and looks great too. If you want to get your current exhaust fixed though, an exhaust shop will just bend your exhaust hangers and that's really pretty much all it should need to get it aligned on the bumper. An honest small business exhaust shop should charge you like $10 to bend the hangers for you, and they may even do it for free. My local exhaust shop tweaked my exhaust for free to get it all lined up when it was on my old Civic. Really good prices at that exhaust shop though, they only charged $70 to cut up my exhaust and bend it and such so it would fit my del Sol. (ik, i'm rambling)

Shifter: use a thick rubber band (wrapped a few times, underneath the boot) to hold the shift boot up. It's the easier way.

Okay, So I stopped by Midas today, since my friend works there.
We took the car on the lift and looked under there..
So many things were wrong.

First of all, after the cat, the pipe where it bends first was made little
bit too long, so it was touching the gas tank, which now I understand
where the rattle came from. However, I used to hear another rattle,
which was also coming from the bend pipe section of rear control arm.
that part was actually "MISSING" the hanger as well, so my friend built
me a brand new piping from 2 1/4" piping. Now it stays on fit, and no
rattling whatsoever. Exhaust has been straightened even more with
new hangers that my friend installed.

However, I did pay 45$. I don't think the price was that bad, considering
I got many things fixed on my car.

I'm glad that all the rattlings are gone. They were driving me nuts.
As for the exhaust, I guess I will look around for Apexi WS2's.
From the replies, I see it getting good reviews.

what do you guys think about Flowmaster?
The guy @ the shop told me they aren't that bad.
Although, I didn't really trust that guy, after what my friend told me.
But, would like to get some reviews from u guys as well about Flowmaster.
