Icon2 95 Civic Starting issues

Recently replaced the battery, All the sudden the car is hard to start. It eventuall starts but it may take 10 seconds or so. The garage told me it is the crank sensor? Is this a good place to start? Wheere is it located on the car and is this a DIY job. I'm fairly handy.
