my friend has one in his crx si. its nice cuz he just needed the longblock. its got good hp but you really should consider bseries motors. you can get a b18b swap fairly cheap and its great to build off of. and check hasport.com. they may have info on that swap too if youre set on it.

is the ZC a OBD-0 or OBD-1 motor?

Easier just to get a D16Z6 swap.

Seriously.......

Why, so you can have 10 more HP over a SOHC VTEC???

the motor isn't that bad... and its 29 hp more than his DX motor, bolts right in and with out having to wire vtec...

i did it in my EG, i talked about the swap here

i wish honda-tech was more constructive instead of every post being waisted on newbie slaying...

Well,

I don't know where Trevor is from, but if he lives in CA, and puts a ZC in his DX, the smog ref will fail him on the spot.

Sure, ZC engines are cheap, and he can re-use his DX tranny, but honestly, the gains are just not worth it in my book.

That's just me tho.

If I were doing it, I'd find a nice 94-95 LS donor at the local JY or similar, and swap that in.

1- It fits in with no probs
2- No extra wiring needs to be done
3- There are a TON of aftermarket parts available
4- It has more torque and HP than a ZC
5- It can be SMOG legal

But again, that's just me.
