Sometimes while driving my cars power will shut off and jump on really quickly kind of like a power surge.

Or else i will be in neutral at a stop light and all the lights will begin to dim and it seems like the car is struggling to stay on.

When the car does does this than the radio, dash lights, head lights, and clock will all flash off and then turn back on...

Also if i happen to turn on my head lights or turn on the air conditioning than the car will do the same thing.

Any ideas what this could be a cause of?

 

Alternator perhaps?
