Default TPS question

On a d16z6 can the TPS voltage still be off with out throwing a code?

Yes, on obd1 vehicles, unless the sensors are completely dead, it won't throw a code.

well i probed the mid wire (red/blue) and i got 1.8 closed and then a woping 8.0 wot? but i dont have a code tho..but if i unplug the connector then it will

your voltage readings should be .5 to 4.5 volts. It has been awhile since i tested a tps on the d series but your readings definitely don't look right. If you unplug any sensor, you'll get a code. Why are you suspecting the tps?
