my turbo ls just started burning oil and blowing blue smoke past 5.5k rpms. oil is in the downpipe and in the intercooler piping, but i checked the turbo and theres not one bit of shaft play. I read that since it just started happening, oil can be getting past the seals and not blowing the seals YET. should i get an oil restrictor to help slow down the feed? also, I kinda ghetto rigged the oil return awhile ago with clamps and braided line. the oil pan wasnt even tapped, just welded a pipe-like thing to it...

any help appreciated, first time having this problem.

ps-compression check and leakdown check are good.
