well...for the first time in my life, i want to install a cd player along with an amp and subs on my civic. I have zero experience with audio systems and I want to know how to remove the tape player that is on my civic and replace it with an aftermarket cd player, is there some step by step on how to remove the tape player? pictures/diagrams would be VERY HELPFUL. ( not trying to break anything & then ask questions)

 

These instructions are similar, except when you remove the lower console, you look up to find two screws. Remove them to loosen the radio.

 

lol...you been listening to the radio all this time, I upgraded my audio unit the moment i got my car, but let my tell you, its not that hard at all. Follow the instruction "BlueIntegraBoy" posted and you'll be fine.

I would suggest that you go and get a harness adapter to hook your cd player up to your car's wiring.
