Coilover recomendation for 2000 SI??
Hey guys. Looking to drop the car and still get a nice ride. Looking for something adjustable as well. Nothing too much on the high end. Any one selling a used set would be great too. LMK what you think??

You better read my long *** but informative post.
To start, there are about 11 billion coilover options for your car. There are maybe 5 good ones.
If you want adjustability, just go with the Ground Controls. The rates are soft, and you can use them with stock or stock replacement shocks to keep the ride nice. If you want, you can upgrayyyyed to Konis. That will give you some adjstable damping and more height adjustability. I don't know how well this will ride if you're SLAMMED, though as the shocks may not have enough travel.
I have Eibach Sportline springs on my EM1. They were advertised as a 1.6'' drop. B.S. It's more like a 2.5'' drop. The top of the tire is flush with the fenders. It looks good and rides really well with tokico blues or stock shocks. I have stock shocks up front and tokico blues out back for now. I may buy some blues for the front if the OEMs get tired. Don't buy agressive shocks for this setup. I originally had skunk2 shocks and it bounced around like crazy. Which is excellent if your GF has big *****...but it sucks for everything else.
I find that a lot of the "competition" coilovers are wayyyy too much for street driving. The skunk2 is advertised as a competition coilover. So are the D2s, K sports, etc. etc. It's cheaper to make those. Hard springs. Stiff damping. Easy. Easy = cheap.
Ride quality isn't great. My friend had D2s on his civic. They rode like garbage. If you don't know what a nice setup rides like or if you like slamming into every bump and then bouncing out of it just to slam into the next bump and do it all over again...then apparently, these ride great. However, once you experience a good high end coilover that has stiff enough (not too stiff, not too soft) springs and controlled and comfortable damping, these ride like garbage.
Again...stiff springs and stiff damping sell because people like the word "race". It's also easier and cheaper to make a coilover that is very one dimensional.
There was some mention about an Eibach coilover that sells for around $1000 and is supposed to ride silky smooth. Check on those.
Just go for a very street oriented kit and you'll be fine.
As far as civics go, a lot of German and American companies make good suspensions for street driving.
The Japanese suspensions are either overpriced, really agressive, or a combination of both. Or they just have really weird spring rates that look like they were just thrown together.
The Taiwanese/Chinese suspensions aren't all that great, IMO. D2s, K sports, Omnis...all garbage. I wouldn't even touch them with YOUR car.
To recap:
If you want a street coilover, cross off anything that says or hints at "competition".
Buy something with quality rather than quantity. What do you really need? A really good set of lowering springs costs less than a shitty set of coilovers. They may both serve the same function for your needs.
The Ground control coilover sleeves have really nice spring rates off the shelf. You can also customize springs. Just buy the off the shelf (OTS) rates to keep it simple and comfortable. These with a set of konis will run you $800. Ride quality, damping longevity are two things that are a must for a good street suspension. The adjustability is an added bonus.
If people are just shouting out names of coilovers, you can probably guess two things:
1.) They don't have those coilovers and are just speaking from hear say...or they just like the name/color.
2.) You shouldn't consider their opinion as an educated one.

I have Function and Form Type 1s on my EJ and love 'em, but I'm on of those people who are slammed also
I would say it definitely depends on what you're using your car for (DD, auto-x, drag, etc.) and also on your budget...give us that information and we can give more ideas...

I have a 99 si, and I'm running Skunk2 pro-s. i got the for around 550 off of ebay, brand new. The suspension allows for as low as you want to go, also the ride is stiff but smooth. On my old 98 ex, I ran Monroe shocks, with ground control sleeves, that setup cost me around 200 less than skunk2 and the ride was great, and it handled great as well too.
innovative makes great traction bars, as far as suspension the teins, gc koni, and skunk2 all seem to be very popular. a substantial price increase from koni was done recently.
