Default good brake pads for 97-01 Prelude

I'm in the market for some new brake pads and I'm wondering what brand pads would be good to use for street use. I currently have the cheap autozone ones, and I don't really like them, so I'm wanting something for better stopping power. I've heard good and bad things about EBC pads and same thing with Hawk HPS pads. Are there any other brands out there to look into?

Thanks in advance

Icon6 Street pads...

Are you just daily driving? I've used the Autozone Duralast Gold Cmax pads for my car and they work great, good bite, very low dust and are fairly gentle on the rotors. Plus they are priced quite well.

If you are just daily driving your car (unless you drive like a total asshat), the other pads mentioned are good but really aren't need for street driving. Plus the higher price compared to normal market brake pads doesn't make economical sense. But it is your money and your car, you can do what you like.

Just my 2 cents...

1 of my Preludes is my daily driver which I'm needing new pads for. I've heard those Duralast Golds are decent. I have drilled/slotted rotors and need more bite than what I have now. I may just try out the Golds to see how good they are. Besides, if I don't like them, I can just put them on my other Prelude

Either stick with OEM pads or HAWK HP or HP+ for street use if you want to stay within a reasonable price range.

EBC PADS BLOW. They warp your rotors and dust real bad.
I tried EBC greens back in 2000 and wow they sucked.
