just look for the instructions, and when you find them read them over and over again until u get it. the fact that its still auto doesnt really matter. the procedure is still the same

Same as a manual MPFI swap but you'll need the EX Throttle Body, and the PS9...
Oddly enough you can use a PS9 for one-wire vtec on a manual swap.

I think I actually have the complete manifold from one of those civics from back in the day when I thought I was going to do the same swap but never got around to it. I shoulda grabbed the ECU since those cars are kinda hard to come by in junkyards, but I was naive then.

I have a complete manifold in my garage if Crxsirg doesn't have one, and I believe I have a computer for you. Let me know if interested in either one.

I have a ECU I pulled out of an automatic '91 Si hatch, I'm pretty sure it's not a PS9 though.

I have a PM6 that is an auto ecu. I have never seen the ps9, but I had this PM6 in my car and it always had a check engine light for the auto tranny. I can't remember the code off hand, I picked up a manual pm6 and have ran that ever since. If the deal between you and ZAKU doesn't work out you can have mine for cheap, it's just sitting in a box in my shed at the moment (no worries, it's safe from the elements). I was gunna chip it with a performance chip that would convert it to a manual ecu, but I've since gone to obd1 and now have two PM6s on my hands. Good luck with it, hope you get her hooked up soon.

I didn't mean to cut in on the deal you had goin with ZAKU, but I'll get it out after work tonight and take a pic of it for you. 40 bux sounds fair to me. I'll post those pics tonight and we can figure it all out then.

I'm also curious if anyone has a pic of a PS9 ecu. I've never heard of one until this thread, so I've never seen one either. I found his thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...light=auto+pm6 and it lists the ecus for obd0 and there isn't a PS9, but it does show how to tell if you've got a 5 speed or an auto. I'm just curious. thanks

Here's the pics of the ECU.

I know the ecu was pulled from a 90 Civic EX sedan, I bought my mpfi swap from a friend who had that car which was rear-ended. I put it in my car and I kept throwing a lock up code I believe it was. I got a PM6 from an Si (manual of course) and no more code, so it's to my knowledge that this is an auto ecu. I'll ship it to you for 45 bux, sound good? Let me know man.

Default pm9 ecu

hey guys,

im in the same pickle: ive got everything i need from a 91 si (including a standard pm6 ecu) to perform a mpfi swap except the host car is auto. this ps9 ecu seems to be a real bitch to find. i spent a few hours cracking open civics at the scrap yard last weekend and couldnt find it.

ive read that its possible to convert a pm6 to a pm9 if you sacrifice an auto pm5. anyone know how to do this?

or better yet, anyone have a ps9 lying around?
