Hi everyone. If anyone has a posting on a diy on hoodpins for a carbon fiber hood. Can u send me a link or email me at aesthetics916@msn.com. And anyone have any tips on doing it? Im jes worried about cracks on my hood. So any help would be great! Thankks

- Tape measure
- Drill bits

drill small hole through carbon fiber and use a small fine sanding bit to make it bigger. when your done (this will save your hood) take either clear coat or clear fingernail polish and seal up the cf around the hole this keeps the cf from chipping off and holds the fibers in the hole together

 

I would replace the screws with rivets. The screws like to back out after a while.

The last set I did, I had to chop an inch off the bottom of the anchor stud. Thread the nut on first, cut it, and then thread the nut off to reform the last thread.
