Default Help Needed ASAP!!! Car wont start

my car was throwing code 9 so i replaced the dizzy wit a new one and now the car wont start it has sparks but it wont start i need help!! thanks

You sure you didn't get the distributor 180 degrees off?

When you put that distributer in, It only goes in one way unless you force it in. When you pushed it onto the head, the part that the cam spins can be upside down (hard to explain w/o being there to show you). Did you get your firing order right (the spark plug wire sequence?)? If you have spark it sounds like you missed something simple.

yea i know the dizzy goes only one way in i did it right but still doesnt start

ok, the only thing you did differently was change out the dizzy, either a bad dizzy, reseat the spark plug cables, swapp it out with a known good dizzy (or throw your old one back in. I would start there. Did you disconnect anything else while doing this? battery?

no i didnt do anythin else i took the old dizzy out and put the new one in thats all i did

Perhaps you lost or forgot to install the spring that screws into the top of the coil and supplys power to the cap?
