how to bypass the neutral safety switch.
I'm doing a 5 speed swap and need to figure out how to bypass the neutral safety switch so that i can use the orignal starter wire. Thanks!
Splice the 2 largest wires under the center console together, they are in a plug that plugged into the automatic shifter assembly. One is black with a red stripe, the other is black with a white stripe.

If you're talking about an auto to manual swap:
Remove auto gearshift entirely.
Rewire for the starter interlock and reverse lights.
Disconnect or remove the key cylinder solenoid.
Use a manual ECU. Auto ECU will naturally throw transmission codes finding there is no auto transmission in the car. Any time the CEL is on a rev limiter is imposed.

He cant locate the blue box for some reason. I dont think you need to buy a different cylinder. I read somewhere that all u had to do is open it up and remove the pin inside for the key to come out??
