How to Wire Integra for Sub?
I installed some new speakers in my teg, still not enough bass. So I picked up a single 10 for a little bit of bass for my teg. I know how to do all the wiring and all that jazz, however I've never done it in an Integra. My question is, has anyone? Do any of you know where and how to hide the wires? where to put them? What to do to get it all hidden, and of course Where the hole in the firewall is so that I can get power to the battery? Im looking to have it all hidden and professionally done, so dont offer me and negro-rigging tips. Thanks guys.
Wouldn't it be installed just the same as other cars? Like hide the wires under the carpet or along the plastic panels? everything pops in and out on these cars. And if you want a professional look, get it done professionally.
i've probably got close to 5000 sub/amp installs under my belts and there basically ALL the same for routing power wires, unless the battery is in an odd location like under rear seat, in this case yours in just as normal as anyone elses. Pop your hood, see you battery, now look between the battery and the Fuel Filter, now look down a little bit, see that Big flat rubber bushing? your gonna route your wire through that.... Your gonna open your passenger door, pop up the plastic that covers the carpet... kick panel, door jamb panel, etc and run your power wire under the carpet, and then on the right side of the rear seat, but behind the side panel plastics. then your gonna route your RCA's on the left side of the car, the same way.
The hardest thing about an install in a honda is getting the 10mm bolt(s) from behind the factory radio that hold it in the dash, sometimes that can be quite troublesome and make you very angry, but other than that its all a walk in the park. Next time this needs to go in the Audio/video related section.

its pretty easy if you know how to take your interior apart, I should post up a DIY with pictures sometimes, but its been cold these days and I don't feel like taking my interior apart just for pictures.
i think my biggest pet peeve about people running there own amp kits is when they run them through the door jamb from the fender, i sincerely HATE that with a passion, it makes me want to beat them with a baseball bat.... Or people that use Orange extension cord as power wire, or people that run a ground all the way from the battery to the back of the car...

Well if you really want it like FACTORY, then it's quite a bit more involved. I'm talking pulling out most of the interior trim panels and carpet, running the power wire down along the passenger side door sill and UNDER the metal reinforcement where the front seat bolts down, stuff like that. Then of course there's removing the center console and rear seat to run RCA cables and amp turn-on lead. For the ground wire, I just attached it to one of my rear upper shock tower bolts.
I remember when I first wired an amp into my car, I probably spent 5 hours on that crap doing it right, and then I even re-did some of it when was installing all the sound deadening in my car last year.

The question isnt about the electrical. I've done several successfull amp installs myself, Mr. Cool. Its about where to put the wires, how to take what apart, that kind of thing.
Maybe I did a **** job explaining, but anyways, I am done and it turned out really good. The issue I was having was I didnt know what I was going to have to take apart on the car to run the wires. After it is all said and done, I had to remove very, very little. I should do a write up, but it looks absolutely professional. I ran the wires down each side., under the carpet, then beside the rear seats, but tucked under the plastic side panels. The wires come back up behind the seat, from out from under the carpet, behind the seats in the middle. You cannot see the wires anywhere. Im very pleased. Thanks for the help guys.. although you werent any help, its not your fault. haha.
haha yeah, I used part of that write up. TeamIntegra has so many good write ups. But I dont reccomend going to the extreme that they did in that writeup. Its not necessary.

Now I personally would not mount an amp to the back of the seat like that, for the simple reason that you can't get the carpet off the seat back if you have to remove your rear seats (which have to come out to get the rear side trim panels off). You can still take the rear seats out, but the carpet would be attached to that one seat back and it would be a major PITA.
My sub amp is mounted on top of the sub box.
