Default B16 block, B18 internals possible?

I've already done a search and haven't found the right info, so don't knock me...

I've been trying to find an LS bottom end and it occurs to me that there are a lot of available B16 bottom ends vs. B18 bottom ends.

Would it be a sound choice to pick up a B16 bottom end and slap all my current B18C internals and head onto the B16? Reason being is that I need a replacement for the current B18C block and am looking for another alternative since finding a B18c block is even harder. I also want to keep the internals to keep the 1.8 displacement. Would I be running into an clearance issues? Lubrication issues? Fitment issues? Any help would be appreciated.

No. It won;t work. The rods are too long.

As long as you swap in the crank AND rods it will fit.

I understand that there are deck height differences in between the both. Anyone have more info about that? Anyone done this?

Anyone with more elaborate in-depth info?
