Icon2 Headlight output with lowered cars

Hey there guys! Just wondering if you guys have the same problem...

I recently lowered my 96 Accord on Eibach prokits. (Great BTW) but sadly, when I was doing some late night driving last night, I my headlight could barely shine on the stop sign. Since the lowering had fix my accord's boat effect, it seems my light output is going down.

Is it just me and my Luminics bulbs or something? How about you guys? Should I go for those blinding HID's since my car is pointing down? lol

Have you tried aiming your headlights?

One of the problems with lowering a vehicle (any vehicle) is with the light sourse (headlamps) being lower, the beam doesn't reach as far; as it too can't 'see' over undulations in the road.
You can re-aim them higher, but you'll have every approaching Tom, Dick and Harry "flashing" you at night as you blind them.

when you lowered your vehicle with the prokit, the projection angle changed. My prokit sucked, it made the front lower a little lower than the rear so mine was pointing down. If you choose to aim the lights on your own, there are generic instructions on the NET to do this. The downside to this is that you can get it somewhat close but you may blind the person you are driving behind of. If you go to a service station they may have the appropriate tool which aims a light at a circle in the middle of the lens, with your lights on, the screen will prompt the technician how to adjust it properly. 98-02 accords have a leveler that can be used to aim. of course if your lens has mineral build up, thats a different matter.

I was researching on Google and in H-T and couldn't find how to adjust headlight angle. The best response so far is by muffinman, but i couldnt find any adjustments.

My headlights are suprisingly clear, I used some plastic polish and good as new, very clear.

O wells, I guess I have to live with it. Maybe I'll get some HID next time or something to fix the issue since HID's then to aim higher

open your hood and look at the head light around the housing parts, there should be 2 screws where you can turn with a big fat screwdriver to adjust it. as far alignment procedure generic instructions are available on the NET.

So far, I am not finding any adjustments on my 5th gen headlight. I did adjust this one screw, but it didn't do much. I did headlight adjustments on the RSX and it was easy, but I'm guessing older Honda's aren't really adjustable.

I guess I'll have to live with it. I can still see, but just need to pay little more closer attention.
But I totally agree with aasaa666, Pro-kits did the same to me, it lowered my front a lot, which gave a cool look, but still too much.

Good thing I don't do that much night driving.

Thanks guys.
