Default K20z1 swap into ep3 HELP!!!!

i have an ep3 and i just swapped a k20z1 in there. I used the type S harness with my stock k20a3 ECU. i don't have any spark and ive noticed that alot of people have ran into problems regarding the vss, speedo, electronic power steering etc. but i can't get my sh*t started and have one week before i have to take it to court to get it inspected. PLEASE someone HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. my first post so the more the merrier.

your problem is the 05-06 type s harness.

take it out and use your ep3 harness. It has all the plugs the same, but the wires at the ecu plugs are different.

yeah i can use my ep harness. but what do i do with the plugs that go to the tranny? they're different for the tranny on the type s. how do i compensate for that? im not sure but i think that's the reverse lockout plug that i'll have an issue with. What if it's not the harness, any other suggestions?

Wait you aren't running K-pro? What transmission are you using?

I don't think you have to use k-pro. If you are using a 05-06 type s tranny, i think you have to get the Speedconverter sensor like other people who swap a k20z1 into a eg ek dc2.

But i am not 100% research some more

well i used my friend's kpro to see if it would start with my car but it didn't. im not seeing any spark. If i use my ep harness than i wouldn't have reverse lockout. Anymore suggestions yall?

everything is pretty much from the k20z1 except the throttle body and the ecu which is from my '03 civic si. ive been told to switch back to my ep harness but haven't done it yet. not sure if that's the cause of it not starting.

Definately switch the harness and use the EP3 one. The speed sensor plug is going to need to be changed as well. You will need to check out a wiring diagram for both vehicles. Cut the speed sensor plug off of the 05-06 harness. Adapt it according to the diagrams. Kpro is a must in order to use the 05-06 transmission. You will have to go into the kpro parameters and check the box to use the Countershaft driven speed sensor.

In order to use the reverse lockout you will have to have an ecu that is equipped with it already (ie, the type s ecu). Go to the wiring diagrams again and also that junk 05-06 harness, lol. Cut the plug off of the harness for the RLO. Run the two wires for it accordingly to the ECU/power source to the pins that the diagrams say to run it.

To find the pinouts, open the Kmanager program. go to help/contents/reference/ecu connectors.

Hope this helps
