So what goes bad when...
Honda Prelude 1990-91
(The door frame has this: 11/'90, the registration: 1991.)
What happened is this kid (friend's son) who knows nothing about cars, was told by his neighbors that to fix his clutch pedal from losing pressure that he should bleed the lines. He promplty let all of the fliud out via the slave cylinder, then proceeded to pump the clutch pedal. He was really surprised to find the clutch pedal is now on the floor. It seems that no amount of bleeding the air out will get the pedal back up. It doesn't seem like there is any more air in the lines.
Um, so what else goes bad when one is stupid enough to pump all of the fluid out?
I felt sorry for the car and brought it home. I don't know that much about cars but I do know better than to let a hydraulic system run dry.
Any suggestions, please?

By pumping the pedal by hand, opening the bleeder valve on the slave cylinder to let out air/fluid. Never seem to seem to get any pressure. Have tried running a hose over the bleeder valve and into a bottle of clean brake fluid, still nothing. Thanks
I realize the keyword here is eventually, but how many bottles of brake fluid would you guys go through before calling it quits? I'm on the 4th one. What I need to find is a power/pressure bleeder but the guys at Autozone had no idea what I was talking about...
So, you guys don't think anything else got messed up? Thanks.

It takes forever to bleed it that way. I would get one of the one man bleeders for a couple bucks at autozone. Makes the job way faster.
You just hookup a hose that connects to a bottle to the slace cyl where the fluid comes out. The you pump the clutch. Thats all there is to it.
