Icon2 ClusterF@$K! rear disc brakes

new to honda tech

bought four new rotors and pads decided to start with the rears

screws on left rear rotor are destroyed (stripped) and have no idea what the proper procedure for changing the rear pads is.

Can't get the piston to go in far enough with 'c' clamp. Do I have to bleed brake fluid? Should I give up and take it to a shop? I really don't want to...it's sunday and I can't call and bother any Honda shops! Help!

Best thing to do is go to hondahookup.com and get the helms manual.
If after reading through the pad/rotor replacement procedure you don't feel comfortable doing it, take it to a shop.

Now for the rear caliper piston, it has to be screwed into the caliper, not pushed in like the fronts. They sell a special tool for that at autozone, autobarn, etc. or you can use a pair of pliers (spread them into the groove and turn).
For the rotors, the caliper and caliper brackets have to be removed. If the rotor screws are stripped, you can try using an impact driver.

if the screws are messed up just drill the heads off. and like said above you have to screw the rear pistons in. just be aware on high mileage integra's the rear caliper pistons are know to seize. and no you don't have to bleed the brakes.

for the rears, you don't push back the piston with a c clamp, it's something you twist back in.

if the heads of the screws aren't too jacked up, you can use one of those impact drivers, the one you hit with a heavy mallet.
