i was just wondering if anyone has used carbs on their motors... i know theyre mostly used on d-series motors, but can they be used on b-series motors? i did a search and i looked on dseries.org.. cant find anything...

knew someone with a dual webber carb B16 on TWM manifold. had very prepped engine. carbs when tuned, are great, but dual sidedrafts are esentially four carbs, kind of hard to tune. i had tripple mikunis on my zcar. those carbs sound GREAT, with header, and nice exhaust system, most carb'ed engines ressemble motorcycle engine as they wind up.

i think with this soch motor im building im gonna run dual 44 mikunis..or dual 40 webers...non vtec motors on carbs=
the person i know running carsb retains his ecu simply for start up..
the dope thing about jets is the tuning parameters
no electronics to hold u back..just raw tuning

I used to have an 84 crx with a zc. I had a PYR head, dc header, 44 mikunis, and a 2.25 exhuast. That thing hauled *** like an all girls school bus.
Damn, thanks for the memories.
BTW I used to see my setup often in the '90s and webers made more power.

yeah...carbs....ya know...how engines used to mix air and fuel before EFI...?
funny story...I was at an autoX last year...and there was an absolutely beautiful Z car with triple webbers...thing was fast!! well, he had the hood up and I was admiring the engine and some kids (read: 16-18) walked up, looked at the engine, pointed to the carbs, and asked me 'what are those?' I couldn't help but chuckle

Hey, i've got a prelude 2.0s with a b20a3, carburated. If anyone can help me make more power in the motor, and have any info i may be interested please privately message me. I'm very interested in this honda carb motor. 2.0 L of displacement, with the right setup, would prolly haul ***. Sounds good to me
Carbs rock. Mikunis aren't around much anymore, Webers are easy to get. Check out http://www.piercemanifolds.com and http://www.twminduction.com for everything you should need.
I had a 88 hf with a zc and Mikuni's.
I had to sell the car but the motor is still in my garage.
someday I'll get another ef to put my motor in.
One of the funnest cars to drive I ever had.

My experience with carbs has been with my 74 RX-4 wagon. I had mikunis and I hated them. Never could get the setup to run correct, I switched to Webbers and those are bred to race. I was much happier. Amongst the RX7 community a majority like the webbers. I have switched to a haltec with webber type throttle bodies. Nothing beats fuel injection.
My friend did a nitrous with carbs setup on a B-series gsr motor.......ran 11.00@1xxmph at palmdale all day long here is the link to see some pix's.....it's the only hatchback in there scroll down to the picture: http://piercemanifolds.com/yourwebers.htm
