ok i got a 90 Legend today for a daily driver (winter beater) and know nothin about an auto tranny i have never owned one its my first and i have owned about 10 cars but i got it for $500 and its clean and its nice not to be shiftin all day but i got this problem the S3 light keeps flashin wondering what this could be if anyone knows let me know....

Dont know much about autos eather but when my teg was auto it started flashing when I over heated the gearbox with towing.

The auto controller has a little LED like most honda ecus that will blink out codes. I never managed to find a code sheet tho.


Id say just check all the regular things, fluid level, all plugs connected and then pull the battery for 10mins to reset the auto controller.

 

Why dont you post this in the TL/RL forum? BTW if the light keeps blinking then I think the VSS is bad. I had a 93 Legend that had a bad VSS that would blink in any gear.

It has nothing to do with being a V6, and everything to do with being a Legend, which is why you should post this in the TL/RL forum.
