Default H22 Holset Turbo

We are getting our ducks in a row for our H22 Turbo build. I come from the Subaru world and Holset turbo's are starting to get popular with Subaru guys (only a few but the price is appealing)

I know the Holset HY35 (off Dodge Cummins with Auto Trans) has a 9cm Hotside and has some pretty good numbers. It can be had for real cheap.

The HX35 off the manual trucks has a 12 or 13cm hotside and can flow around 90lbs/min.

I'm not real sure on the sizing. Initial build will be made using a custom Turbo mani (probably lovefab) looking to run around 9psi on E85 with stock internals.

No real power numbers as of yet, but would like to see around 325 WHP on 9psi (E85).

Bisi 1.2 Turbo cams and S2 IM will compliment the build with S300 as EM.

Only real reason I am considering a Holset HY/X35 turbo is because of the appealing price and the ability to produce massive amounts of power.

Also considering a Precision SC61.

Any suggestions or comments?

TIA

Jerod

the hx35 will net your goals but the turbo dose not flow 90lbs but is good for 550 pending on your setup. and they wont like such low boost. they are hi pressure turbo that are fact. waste gated at 22-28psi so saying that that turbo will perform better at 15lbs than at 9lbs but the hx40 with a 14 or 16cm housing would be more fitted for the h22 flow there a big holset thread check it out. but good luck.
