Default JDM DC5 Problem

Hi guys

I have a JDM DC5 at the moment and the problem I have is that under WOT, 6-6.5K the motor seems to have a flat spot. I can see the rev counter needle during this RPM range go a little eratic! After this spot clears, from just under 7K the car pulls like a train.

What I have done to try to cure this problem so far.

CKP Sensor changed
Cam angle sensors changed (x2)
Primary O2 changed
Coil packs changed
Spark Plugs changed
Vtec Solenoid cleaned and changed for a known good one but still the same
VTEC oil strainer x 2 cleaned
Oil is fine
IAT changed

Mods are very stock, Mugen air box and an aftermarket exhaust.

Thanks in advance for anyone that can shed some light!

have you put it on a dyno to make sure there is actually a power dip that is bigger than the standard curve? there is a small dip in power right after it hits vtec.
