Ur actually better off dropping and OPENING up your transmission and just finding out precisely what is wrong. Many people can e-diagnose real well, but nothing beats actually getting your hands in there and finding out. Maybe its worth the fix, or maybe not but then you won't be haunted with wandering 'what-ifs'

Does it grind in EVERY gear while doing the shift, or does it only do it in first?

Could be internal to the transmission (bearing and synchro combination).
Could be clutch related (broken springs, etc).
Could be motor mounts and shift linkage.

But YOUR eyes need to get in there, look, and SEE what it is.

yeah it grinds nearly every gear almost every time. i cant shift smoothly most of the time. i got to force it in and its starting to slip out in third gear very easy. but yeah i can feel like alot of resistance when i shift.

i did syncros in mine a while back for 3rd and 4th gear b/c they grinded but they wernt bad, happened b/c smoked clutch and kept bangin gears. recently had some tranny noises and we dropped the tranny and had snapped 4 teeth off of my final drive gear and ruined my bearings with metal shaving. so replaced the bearings and final drive and put another new clutch and its good as new.
