need help with studs?? how to take them off

Default need help with studs?? how to take them off

well the problem is that i was driving in the freeway and my wheel came loose and the studs got messed up. okay i took off the rotor and removed the brake but i dont know how to take off the studs...

BFH!! Big ****** Hammer! Make sure you get the new studs fully seated when installing.

whoa.........slow down there. you can't do it just by hammering them out. you have to press out the hub, then remove the studs, install the new ones, then press your hub back in.

i'm not 100% how good the wheel bearings will be afterwards so you might want to look into replacing those. give your local Honda dealership a call and ask them what is reccomended or search on here a little and see what other people have done when replacing their wheel studs.

When pressing the hub out the bearing will seperate. You will have to replace the wheel bearing.

so it looks like you're gonna be replacing the wheel bearing cause the only way to get them out is by pressing out the hub.

do it at work all the time.
heat up the messed up stud with a torch
or something of that sort and spray some
wd40 and use a hammer to hit it out.
easy fix. but make sure not to miss the stud.
