Alright fellas, I have the ecu pinouts but not where to run the wires in the GSR harness. Only 3 wires right?

1)Knock sensor
2)Secondaries
3)O2 sensor

Sound about right? Any help would be appreciated!!

you run the secondaries to the top of the intake manifold .its a plug in.should be easy to find

 

red/blue wire for knock
switch a20pin to a17 for iab

 

red\blue wire on the civic car harness? and switch a20 to a17 on the plug that plugs into ecu right>?

 

you need to run a wire from d3 to the integra harness(red/blue)

On the strut tower harness plugs, the vx o2 wire is in the 5-7 wire plug. Its white/red. Relocate it to one of the bigger plugs, the gsr harness should have the same color wire and there should be a hole on the corresponding car harness side plug. Hope that makes sense to you.

 

I will send you my swap research. That should clear things up. I really don't want to type alot this morning.

hey man..i'm trying to do the same thing..can you help me out too? the car i'm trying to wire up used to have a sohc vtec, so in order to wire up the gsr i just need to run a wire from the knock to d3, switch pin a20 to a17, and switch the o2 wire from the 5-7 wire connector to one of the big ones with the red/blue? help!

 

 

guess what. Im here too. my 99 b18c1 motor in my 92 vx. wiring problems. And my gsr engine harness has this 1 plug that doesn't fit to my stock wiring at the strut tower. stupid thing. But i need to move a20 to a17. and run a wire from d3 to the knock? And something with the wires on the strut tower 5-7?? And my ecu plug doesn't have the pins for a17 and d3. I wish i could pay someone in the area to do this 4 me.

 

Ill ttt this because I am going to need to know how to wire a gsr in my 93 cx pretty soon(hopefully). I have seen the Katman diagram....is that all I need?

 

WTF are you guys talking about with regards to the O2? i've never heard that one before, is this a vx thing?

I don't know, But I have a VX. and ifs its a VX thing, then I need to know this thingy about the O2. maybe ill jsut try it and be the guenia pig.

 

ok, finished my swap. I have a obd-2 99 gs rmotor in my 92 vx. im running a obd-1 p72 ecu. using stock interior wiring, and gsr engine harness. all you have to do is cut black IAB wire, and give the black wire on the IAB plug a 12v switched source, (thats any yellow/blk wire) you switch A20 to A17, and hook up knock sensor. My vx had a knock sensor wire already at d3, so i traced it to the strut tower and hooked to the the real knock sensor wire. everything is perfect now. still haev questions? go to:
