Icon3 how to get an alternator 1990 crx

i was able to get every bolt off the alternator except the bottom mounting bolt. I got the nut off the bolt it's just the bolt it's self that won't come out.

First turn the bolt so you know it is loose, then take something (like craft hammer) and lightly tap the backside of the bolt. It may take some thinking depending on how the car is prepped. (IE on the ground) The driver's side wheel needs to come off the ground for it to clear the axle, it will hit and will not come out. Your best bet is getting it from below, too much crap in the way up top.

Is it a space problem? If so, this is well known on c. 1990 Hondas. To get that extra inch or two of clearance needed to pull the alternator out: You will need to support and push against the engine via a jack, pressing against a block of wood, which presses against the oil pan. After this an engine mount is removed, and the engine is jacked higher. A similar method is used during timing belt removal, only the manuals are explicit about providing support at the oil pan.

Otherwise, apply the penetrating oil PB Blaster (WalMart, Autozone, and the like) to the bolt head such that the oil is sucked into the threads. Wait a few minutes to an hour. Re-apply as needed.

I always just unbolted the master and pushed it aside.

It will be right there in your face..
