good suspension set up for a dd?

hey guys, i have an 05 civic and was thinking about lowering it. I want about a 1" to a 1.5" drop nothing too low. i still want good ride quality but do not want stock height. I use this car almost everyday to go to school and such. the set up i was thinking about was tein s. techs, with tokico hp series shocks. would this be a good set up for a dd? if not what would you suggest? thanks in advance.

Just kidding,but there are a myriad of options you could go with.If it's just a d/d,then I wouldn't waste a whole lot of money on something that doesn't suit your use for them.But,if somewhere down the road you plan on doing some major upgrades,then you will have a pretty good setup in place already and not have to worry about it,if you spend a little extra.
Everyone likes the GC/Koni setup,so I guess you really can't go wrong with them.I personally have Ksport on a 94 Accord d/d and I've had no complaints at all.I used to have GC/Tokico blues,and they sucked ***,but I bought the car with them already on.If my Ksports blow,then I'll just put on the GC's back on and get either Illuminas or Yellows.
Whatever you get,you might want to get something with a good amount of adjust ability,just in case you don't like the ride height or dampening.

The Ingalls kit doesn't provide dampers. You really shouldn't (although you could) use your stock struts on lowering springs, as the valving is insufficient for increased spring rates.
If you're looking to spend less than $800 and are mostly concerned with a ride height drop vs. ultimate handling, Tein Basics have the potential to come in under $800.

Haha, I never knew the batmobile had Fox coilovers and Super Swamper TSL's on it. I bet that was a super fun build.
To the OP, yes the tien s-techs and Tokico HP's would be fine for a DD. You don't need to spend hundreds more on adjustable shocks and coilovers if you aren't going to be adjusting them ever. Koni reds are also a viable option, and just search around for springs and what their ride heights look like. There are tons of static drop springs around like tien, eibach, neuspeed, H&R and more.

"On these shocks, you can lower your Civic a maximum of 1" without affecting ride quality"

tokico with teins s tech is a pretty good combo my friend had it on his car ride pretty smooth but the drop is pretty high still. i dont know how low u wanna go so yea
