Fidanza clutches don't have many reviews on honda-tech, but from what I can tell they have been used with great success by the Evo guys. Not sure why their clutches never caught on with Honda's considering their flywheels are very popular.

When my car is back together next year, I plan on using a Fidanza clutch. All of them are carbonkevlar/kevlar from the lowest model up, and are very reasonably priced compared to other carbon/kevlar clutches on the market.

Here's a review of what is considered their stage two:

Exedy FTW!

Ebay is usually a good place to buy Exedy clutches but make sure you're not getting a cheap throwout bearing and make sure the clutch is REAL Exedy!

Stage 2? What does "build up my motor" mean?

If it means what most people mean around here, a simple $120 shipped Exedy OEM style clutch off Ebay is what you need.

I am getting what you're sayin'. I don't think you are getting what I'm saying. You need to be more specific when you say you are going to mod your engine. Bolt-ons (up to ~210 whp) does not need the clutch "upgraded". And if you're like most people here, you will not hit those numbers.

Unless you are going to install a turbo, you don't need a clutch that's more aggressive than the OEM one. It's a waste of money. And let's say you are going to turbo your Prelude in the future, there's no reason running around on an aggressive clutch until then. Might as well use a stock clutch now and replace it with something more aggressive IF you eventually go FI.

Exedy is the brand you get if you bought a clutch kit from Honda as an OEM part.

I just removed my clutch today, since my tranny is at the shop, and suspected my clutch was going bad. It is from clutchnet.com I bought my car like 14 months ago, with that clutch, and I LOVED IT. I had this one

Read up! And good luck

ill post here to say that i had a bad experience with the 2.1 Kevlar Fidanza clutch, i just removed it last week and im going back to trusty Exedy

the clutch worked great for about 500 miles, then if i got on the gas hard, the engone would rev and the clutch would slip bad. and trust me the clutch was installed correctly, as i have done several other clutch R&R

heres a pic of the badly glazed stg-2 Fidanza clutch after about 1k miles

Reading your post is pretty disturbing since I was planning on using the 2.1. Was the clutch broken in?

Thinking about it, I'm still going with either the 2.1 or 3.2 Fidanza's. They specify a 500 miles break-in, and I'm not sure that user even remotely followed that. It's not easy to make any clutch fail that quickly, let alone carbon-kevlar ones. My guess is severe abuse during break-in.

yes, it was broken in properly. ive had my prelude for 6 years now and the first Exedy clutch worked great all those years and i never had a problem.

the fidanza clutch had no problems until just after 500 miles (give or take) it slipped slightly then i kept driving it and my foot would be OFF the clutch pedal and if i revved the engine (while in gear and driving) it past 5000 rpm the clutch would just slip and the car wouldn't accelerate any faster.

as for fidanza flywheels i've really liked them so far, really makes the engine rev-happy

now im installing my 3-puck Exedy

but thumbs down on the Fidanza clutch, just my 2 cents
