Default New clutch master cylinder

Installed and now it isnt working, even after bleeding it very thoroughly. The clutch pedal kind of sticks in the down position (against the floor), and needs coaxing to come back up.
I'm not getting anything but clear brake fluid out of the slave cylinder bleed screw.

When you depress the pedal it feels like nothing is happening until you reach about 3/4 way down, then it feels like a normal clutch.
And then, after releasing, it doesnt want to spring back up on it's own.

anyone have this happen before?
thx.

you need to "bench bleed" a new master.
Fill it with fluid, plug the hose hole and pump till it can't pump any more, then carefully remove the plug and hook up the lines to it, never bleed pushing it all the way to the floor, short strokes are best. make a bleed hose for the slave that has a valve on it, by plugging the end in the jar and making a small razer slit in the end just above the plugged end. Make sure its submersed in fluid. There is also ajustment for the master pushrod under the dash, it's a 12mm nut locking a trheaded rod to the master, may need ajusting to get the pedal in the correct place, don't overdo it or you may push on the throwout bearing too much, needs 1/4" loose play in the pedal at the top end.
Also use some teflon tape on the bleed nipple to stop air getting back in the lines when you release the pedal when bleeding.
Oh, check your slave pushrod didn't unseat.
