1. Buy an aftermarket seat heater
2. Install in seat
3. Wire to the switch
4. Your butt is now warm
5. End of Story

Basically my point was; good luck finding a set and good luck finding ones that are still in working condition. I believe that the heated seats were only an option for the overseas markets, and it was a dealer installed accessory.

That means that they took the stock seats and installed a seat heater. Which would be the same as you installing aftermarket seat heaters into your stock seats.

Not sure what your problem is, but i wasn't trying to be a smartass.

In all honestly you are better off buying a set of aftermarket seat warmers because;
a. they won't be 20 years old
b. they are much easier to come by

I'm not sure how many cars actually had the seat warmers put in, but it couldn't have been very many. Even with the current generation of civics hardy anyone gets the factory seat warmers installed because its like 8x the cost of aftermarket ones.

I would suggest buying the set of factory switches and just wiring those up to an aftermarket set of seat warmers. It would be a nice feature to have, but wouldn't be worth the headache of trying to track down a used factory set of seats with them installed. Because who knows if they still work?

That's just my input.

Ask the Euro owners. I bet there are still a fair bit floating around, albeit probably bolster ripped and worn down, just like all the seats in the US.

I hate you too. Aftermarket seat heaters are like $20, very easy to get, why not get them?

Im pretty sure it was installed at dealer i ran across a set awhile back them seemed to be aftermarket but honda did have this as a option on their cars in japan so maybe they did come with them, i would just buy an aftermarket cause a set of these are not worth the money.

To the OP, it doesn't need to be necessarily corroborated by someone else. He is being realistic and reasonable. I would take his advice instead of going on some ($$$$$$$) wild goose chase.

And....unless your location is misleading, it appears you are in Alabama - why do you need heated seats?

Additionally, most of the heated seats were installed with the optional leather seats for the overseas market.

Most people don't need heating elements for cloth.

I think they were only available in Norway or sweden. They also had washer squirters in the front bumper for the headlights.
