Default Cam gear settings affect valve ajustment?

my cam gears are currently set to intake +2 ,exhaust -2 , will this mess anything up, when i go to adjust my valves later on this evening? or do i have to reset the cam gears back to 0,0, before i adjust the valves. thanks for the help.

no. the cam gears just adjust the cam timing they don't have anything to do with your valve adjustment. Larger more aggressive cams affect your valve clearance.

It seems to me if your gears are not set to Zero it than it is not really the TDC of each cylinder.
Correct?

Not correct. Just because your cam sprockets are set to Zero doesn't mean you are at top dead center. To be at top dead center the crank pully must be lined up with the mark on the block and the cam sprocket markings must be lined up and you can even check the distributer to make sure the rotor is on cylinder #1.
